We hope you will join Friends and friends from around the state for Quaker Lobby Day, January 28. Registration is now open at this link.
On Quaker Lobby Day, you will meet with your state Senator and Representatives to make the case for Quaker Voice priorities and listen to them about theirs. These meetings are among the most important moments in the Quaker Voice year, because they build relationships with the people who represent us in Olympia. When the time comes for them to vote for progressive revenue, climate commitments, healthcare or housing, our representatives know who we are and where we stand. We have carried our testimonies into state government.
Coordinators for legislative districts are already making appointments with Senators and Representatives. These will be concentrated on the afternoon of January 28, when we expect 50 or more Quakers to come to Olympia. Other meetings may happen online that day or at other times during the week.
Quaker Voice is offering preparation for the legislator visits with a short briefing on the priority bills on Sunday, January 25 at 9:30 am and the main briefing on the bills at Olympia Friends Meeting on the morning of January 28. We are also offering a general orientation the evening of January 26. Details are available on this information page and will also be sent when you register. Contact us at any time with questions at .
Please pass the word along to your Meeting, worship group, and friends. Everyone is welcome.
